AJ's love
She has the greenest eyes he has ever seen. AJ found it hard to look away from then and constantly gets draw to them. He found himself sucked into them once again, his trance was broken by her voice.
"What?" she said, her voice gave him a pain in his chest.
"Nothing," AJ said with a faint smile. "I was just spacing out."
"Your weird," she laughed. AJ looks down. "Anyways it's your turn."
Looking at his cards He thought of their childhood. About how they grew up together and the times they played as kids. They were close, almost inseparable. She once told him she uses to cry when he got off the school bus even though hers' was the next stop. That was a long time ago. They were growing apart, they now went to different schools and soon high school would end and then what? Move to different states?
"Got any threes?"
"Go fish," she says with a smile. AJ loves her smile he love everything about her. She is on the shorter said which he find cute and teases her often with.
AJ draws his new card, and looks at her freckled face and her shining brown her. He wants to tell her how he feels more than anything. He knows how she would answer. He knew she could never love him back and that he shouldn't feel this way.
"How about a jack?" she says looking at him. AJ smiles and pulls the card from his hand and hands it to her. Their fingers touch and he pulls is hand away out of fear he would grab her hand. The pain in his chest returns, stronger this time. He curses himself for feeling for her. She was his cousin by marriage. Even though they weren't related by blood he knew it was wrong and that she could never feel the same.
"Shoot, it's getting late I have to get home." And it was getting late nearly 10:00pm.
Reluctantly AJ agreed and he walks her to her car. They hug and say goodbye. She gets in to her car and turns to AJ. Looking into the eyes of the Girl he's been secretly in love with since he was a child he could not of know what she was thinking, If only I could tell him, if only it was right.
