K & B
Kate and Bree had been best friends since they were twelve years old. Now that they were twenty-two, their friendship hadn't been better. Growing up together created a tight bond between them, which seemed impossible to break; until now.
One night, while Bree was out having dinner with her parents, Kate decided to surprise the man she had been dating for two weeks now, by showing up on his doorstep. Tyson was one of the most handsome men you could ever lay eyes on. His blonde, wavy hair and perfectly masculine body was everything Kate could ever dream. But Kate had kept him a secret, as Bree hadn't had a boyfriend in a while, and didn't want to make her jealous. But the connection between Tyson and herself was becoming noticeably stronger. So she knew she would have to tell Bree soon; the news was just too exhilarating!
Kate rang Tyson's doorbell, fluffing up her hair in the last second. As the door flew open, Kate glanced up only to find that it wasn't Tyson at all.
"Bree?!"
"Kate?!"
The two girls stood frozen staring at each other, mouths gaping open.
"Kate," Bree began, breaking the silence. "What are you doing here?"
"I was about to ask you the same question actually," Kate replied, the anger building up.
Bree quickly searched her mind for a believable excuse.
"My parents couldn't make it to New York tonight, so they're coming up tomorrow night," she hastily blurted out. "I was totally going to call you later, to see if you wanted to hang out?"
Kate wasn't frustrated at Bree for lying about her parents. She just wanted to know why Bree was at her boyfriend's house.
"Why are you at Tyson's house?"
"Oh," Bree looked taken aback from Kate's change in tone. "Just... hanging out, you know. Do you know Tyson?"
"Yeah," Kate replied, matter-of-a-fact. "I was going to tell you earlier but, I didn't think it was official. But now it's getting pretty serious so... I'm dating him."
Kate half smiled, worried her best friend would hate the fact that she kept such an exciting secret from her. But Bree just frowned, a smile playing at the edges of her lips. She suddenly burst out laughing.
"What's so funny?" Kate asked, worried Tyson was Bree's long lost brother or something crazy.
Bree composed herself.
"That was a good one Kate. I actually was about to slap you for a moment then," she joked.
"It wasn't a joke," Kate frowned.
Bree searched Kate's face for some kind of humour confirming that this was another trick. When she found nothing, her smile faded.
"That's impossible Kate," she tried to re-assure herself as her frown smoothed out. "I'm dating Tyson."
Utter shock washed across Kate's face as she stared at her new found enemy.
"What?!" Kate argued. "Tyson is with me Bree, go and ask him yourself."
"Oh, I don't think I need to Kate," she replied, once again self-assured. "I think I could tell when he kissed me about two minutes before you showed up".
Kate's mouth dropped open. The tension was so strong between the two girls that the air around them was heating up.
"Do you remember yesterday when I told you I had to go into the office for a half hour?" Kate asked daring.
Bree didn't need to give a reply as she knew what was coming.
"Well," Kate paused. "I was here with Tyson for that half an hour and it was amazi -"
Suddenly, Bree jumped onto the porch and grabbed Kate's hair. She yanked at it with her full might, forcing Kate down the stairs onto the lawn. Kate let out an ear piercing scream as Bree pulled her to the ground with her hair. Kate then grabbed Bree's foot and tripped her up, so she fell flat onto her back. The two girls managed to roll around on the grass pulling and hitting each other until finally Tyson came running out of the house. He attempted to drag them apart, already knowing the reason for their fight.
"You stupid -"
"Tyson is clearly my boyfriend -"
"OI!" Tyson yelled out, silencing both of the girls as he held them apart.
They both stopped suddenly and stared at him, realising he was the one that had cheated on them both.
"You cheating little-"
"How dare you go and -"
"STOP!" he yelled, silencing the girls once again. "I am no one's boyfriend, ok?"
The two girls just stared at him in disbelief.
He turned to Kate.
"Yes I went out with you, Kate, and we shared a few moments," he said, leaving Kate with her mouth gaping open in shock.
He then turned to Bree.
"Yes I went out with you also Bree, but that doesn't mean we're in a relationship!"
Tyson glanced at both girls.
"So are we good?" he asked, assuming everything was alright so they could get back to how things were.
He didn't see the problem with going out with two girls; so long as they weren't his girlfriends then it didn't matter. But Kate and Bree thought differently.
The two girls peeked at each other; obviously communicating something. Then, they turned to Tyson and unexpectedly slapped him on both sides of the face. They both then turned their backs and walked off together, leaving Tyson to clutch his cheeks as they burned a tomato red.
"That's it!" Bree exclaimed once they both were in Kate's car. "I'm going to get him back so bad that he will feel ten times the pain he just put me through!"
"Do you know what?" Kate asked, suddenly having a brilliant "That's perfect!"
"What is?"
"Getting even with Tyson!" Kate revealed. "We could get back at him for what he did to us and probably ten million other girls out there."
Bree half smiled at Kate's devious plan and nodded in approval. The girls were officially best friends again and working a new plan to take down Tyson.
The following week, Kate and Bree had thought up one of their most brilliant revenge plans ever. Kate remembered Tyson mention something about his mother living here in New York, and there was nothing worse about a man's life than their mother getting involved. So that's exactly what the two girls did.
Bree had a friend who worked as a nurse at the local doctor's practise in the city. So she borrowed her friend's uniform and pretended to be a nurse. Meanwhile, Kate called Tyson's mother from the phone directory and informed her she must visit the practice immediately as they had some news about her son, Tyson. His mother seemed very concerned and told Bree she would be there in half an hour.
Tyson's mother was in a hustle when she arrived at the practice, believing something terrible had happened to her son. Bree tried to keep her calm as she invited her into a separate, more private, room.
"What's happened?! Is my son ok? Is he injured? What -"
"Mrs McCluski, you're son is in no immediate danger," Bree spoke in a calming, but professional voice. "We have just got your son's test results back and we thought you should be the first to know."
Mrs McCluski's eyes widened as she awaited the news.
"Are you aware that your son has an STD?" Bree asked casually.
The lady's eyes tightened at the corners as her face turned a fuming red.
"WHAT?!" she bellowed. "That stupid boy! When will he learn?!"
Bree picked up a piece of paper off the nearby nurses desk and pretended to read out Tyson's test results.
"I'm sorry." Bree spoke in a small voice. "But it seems that he doesn't just have one STD, but five."
At that moment, Mrs McCluski jumped up onto her feet, and marched out of the room without another word. Bree quickly jumped up and followed her, keeping her distance; worried Mrs McCluski would realise she wasn't a real nurse. Kate ducked behind the main desk at the front of the practice as Mrs McCluski stormed past and slammed the outside door, her face still enraged. Bree ran over to Kate once the coast was clear, as they both fell to the ground in hysterics. The girls were sure justice had been made, while Tyson would be receiving an unpleasant visit from his mother.
A few months later, Bree had found herself a man, Paul. Kate had also found a man as they had planned to introduce everyone at dinner tonight. As Bree and Paul walked down the busy shopping district in New York, Bree heard her name being called out from behind her. She turned around to see Kate walking swiftly towards her with a huge smile.
"Bree!"
"Hey Kate!"
"I was just about to call you," Kate said as she hugged Bree.
"Oh!" Bree started when she suddenly remembered Paul. "Kate, I want you to meet my boyfriend. I know we said we'd wait until dinner, but it's too exciting!"
Bree ran over to where Paul was viewing a shop window, and pulled him over to Kate. Kate's eyes widened as she stared down the too familiar face.
"Paul?!"
And you can guess what happened next.

another great story, thanks
