The Thrill of a Thunderstorm
The lightning flashes and the thundre cracks. You stare out your window at the darkness that has engulfed you. Suddenly the sky lights up a dark purplish color and then it's gone in the blink of an eye.
You hear the wind laughing as it passes by your house in a whirl of power. The house moans and creaks in distress from the power of the wind pushing it. You cringe as the thunder bellows at you, you you sheild your eyes as the lightning strikes out at you, but deep down your enjoying the excitement of a thunder storm.
The rain begins to pound down on the roof, begging to be let in. Puddles begin to grow from the ground as the rain comes harder and faster. You begin to beg for the brightness and warmth of the sun to come back. The lights begin to flicker dully, and then they are gone completely. Darkness is your only friend.
Soon the rain begins to slow until it comes to a complete stop. You see the clouds moving away to strike some other poor soul. Then the brightness of the sun shines in.
