The battle outside the eternal prison
Kain teleported himself outside the eternal prison. The eternal prison was somewhere out in the sea, it is actually not a prison, but it is a warp gate to the real eternal prison that lies in the spectral realm. The prison shaped like a fortress, its back to the sea. A storm halo formed above the prison. It laminated the dark barren landscape. Screaming yells are heard every second in the prison. Kain made a gigantic assumption that it will be adventurous and very lengthy to find his champion, Valraven. But he didn't need to go inside, he was met by Valraven himself. Valraven standing far away from Kain. He held the Blade of Alacrity on its hilt. The sword once silver colored now stygian from the blood of Valraven's victims. The blade was made to protect the innocent, not to kill them. It has long craved for innocent blood. Valraven himself still looked the same, his demonic eyes emitting greenish colors, almost looked like as if he is crying because the wind is upon his face. Valraven wore a chain skirt with rune signs to protect from missile magic. His plate body was once colored blue now colored red.
"Val?" asked Kain as he walked towards Valraven.
Valraven's demonic fiery eyes flickered. Blue mist of energy ran from his wretched vambraces down to the sword enveloping the weapon with blue flames. He pulled the sword and jumped towards Kain. Kain quickly got a weapon from his armory arsenal using a small void knowing that Valraven's attacks can penetrate his barrier. Kain pulled out one of the most terrifying weapons ever made, The Abyssal Flail of Malevolence. The flail the size of a cannonball, the base a steel skull burning bright with fire, the spikes infested with red poison, and the crystal chain that held the weapon together looked corrupted.
Kain knowing being low has the advantage if the enemy is attacking from above, he jumped upwards towards Valraven and greeted his sword with a great crush. Valraven landed steadily, he moved his sword to the right, but Kain saw this attack. Kain lunged his left arm to the left of his space and caught the blue flaming sword, it could of slashed him in two pieces. A shockwave formed around them spreading. Valraven pulled back his sword, It cut Kain's hands. He then Back flipped and in mid-air. He back crunched the sword all the way to the back, both hands on the hilt and released it on his enemy hoping to smash Kain with such a blind un-controlled move. Kain countered the attack with a spinning maneuver from his flail. He hit Valraven Harmlessly to the side for Valraven switched to a defensive stance at the last second and used his sword as a shield. Kain's flail ignores any barrier too, and the spikes made of the hardest substance on this world can penetrate even the toughest armor. Valraven is too predictable. Kain was about to counter a move from Valraven when he missed! And was shot by a crossbow bolt!.
Kain fell, but it was an illusion! His shadow disintegrated to the ground.
Kain created a replica of himself from Valraven's shadow. Kain's wraith sought out the disturber. Kain pulling himself was punctured in the heart by Valraven! All seemed over but it wasn't. Kain knowing in his weakened state, some of his spells and skills were un-mastered, but this didn't stop Kain. Kain whispered "Blood burst". A dark red energy flowed from Kain's chest to the weapon enveloping Valraven. The spell targeted Valraven's body organs. Kain used Valraven's blood to rejuvenate himself while at it, he kicked Valraven to the ground and the demon let go of his weapon. Kain pulled the sword out from his chest and it was repaired and healed quickly by Kain's Blood burst spell. He then wielded the sword and lunged it at Valraven's stomach. The demon let out no scream or any signs of pain. Valraven's eyes stopped glowing and returned to the normal common brown color. He was under a spell all these centuries.
"I can't breathe" coughed Valraven touching his throat which was covered in a mithril chain mail.
"Val, what has become of you?" asked Kain standing proudly above his fallen enemy, his fallen friend. He rested his flail on his shoulders. Kain's wraith returned with the head of the disturber, a woman. She is one of the wardens of the prison. Her head was thrown in the sea when Kain's shadow returned to be reunited with his real body.
"Sire is that you?" asked Valraven as he struggled to look up at his old mentor.
"Yes, it is I, you betrayed me Val..." said Kain coldly.
"Sire *cough*, let me explain *cough*, I didn't betray you, I-"
"Silence!" interrupted Kain.
"You are a traitor, You left the camp the night my army was going to attack" stated Kain.
"Sire, I was your champion *cough* I left out to destroy the enemy lord! Forgive me! I failed. I thought I would have made the job easier for you. I did not how he defeated me, but it seemed as if it were yesterday. He casted a spell on me to control my mind and teleported me into this foul place! *cough* I am your champion..." gasped Valraven.
Kain had flash backs of his memories with his friend. The glory they shared, the wealth, and the honor to lead the vampire legion. He felt sympathy for his dying friend. He sought out his champion for assistance on his quest, but his friend has suffered too long.
"Ahhhhh Val...Val...Val.. you are forgiven" said Kain as he lowered down to Valraven's side.
Valraven's coughing was becoming more violent. The sword in his stomach did not help but made it worse.
"Valraven my champion! You have suffered long enough, it is with great pride that I grant you...your death" said Kain as he took Valraven's hands and held it tightly.
"Sireee! Ughhhh..my..thankssss" said Valraven as he died. Kain closed Valraven's eyes. Kain put his left thumb on his eye to stop the flow of his tears.
Kain then pulled out the sword from Valraven's body. He took the sword, Valraven would have wanted him to have it. The sword's magic was overpowered by Kain. The color of the sword turned darker and this time instead of blue, a green essence surrounded the sword. Kain then opened a portal of a circular void, he threw the sword and flail into it. It closed when Kain sighed.
After some moments of mourning, Valraven's body turned to ashes.
"Go my friend!, be free! As the rest of us, living nor dead, can never be!" said Kain whispering his last words.
