Wolf Child (Part 1)
Karli sat at a patio table, just out side of her favorite café, a little family owned place called “Blue Moon” at the corner of First and Main Street, just out side of Clackamas Oregon.
She was enjoying a cup of worm apple cider, while she waited on the waiter to bring her favorite breakfast, stake and eggs, and strawberry waffles.
Most people would think this a lot for a young woman to eat alone, which is why she ordered it to go. So she could enjoy her meal quietly at home with out the odd glances from other patrons.
How ever she had a very good reason for eating more then your average thirteen year old. Karli was a werewolf, and had been for most of her life, having been bitten at the age of four. Because of this her metabolism was nearly thrice as other young women of her age, size and weight.
At five foot she was of average height for her age ,being neither too short nor too tall. She had short dark brown hair streaked through with natural undertones of black, at first glance her eyes appeared to be gray, but upon taking a closer look one would note natural flecks of blue, green, and even gold, her normally pail skin was gently sun kissed giving her a nice even tan.
She knew the tan would fade but not till some time after January.
But that is what you get when one can trace her blood lines back to the Nez Perce Native American, back to Chief Joseph him self.
Granted she was only one eighth Nez Perce, but it was still something she was proud of.
“There was nothing wrong with being proud for one’s linage.” Is what Anthony always told her, and Karli agreed with him whole heartedly.
Anthony had taken her in after the death of her family. Being both a doctor and a warlock, he had had some of what would be required for caring for a newly turned werewolf, how ever Karli had been a child no more then four years of age when she had been bitten.
It was rare the person who could survive a werewolf’s bite, and female werewolves where practically unheard of. There where only five known to exist in the U.S. alone, and like most of her kind all of them where born as werewolves, coming into their powers during adolescents.
How ever unlike most of her kind, as a bitten werewolf, Karli had come into her powers shortly after she was bit. Her wolf had always been there in the back of her mind. Driving her with instinct.
Even Anthony thought that her wolf was more apart of her mentality then other werewolves.
The sound of the patio door opening, tore Karli away from her thoughts. She turned expecting to see the waiter bringing her meal. But an older couple emerging from the restraint coffees in hand.
The woman, was, slim, no mare then five foot six, with green eyes, and auburn hair, and milky skin. She wore an emerald green t-shirt that accented her eyes nicely, and a blue jean cut off skirt, she was slim and looked to be about early to mid thirties.
How ever it was the woman’s companion that caught Karli’s attention, he was strikingly handsome, tall and lean, maybe a little over six feet, olive skinned, with jet black hair and dark brown eyes, he whore pair of black slacks and a white silk button up shirt, he looked to be about the same age as the woman.
But what Karli found most interesting about this man, was not that fact that she found him attractive, but rather the fact her wolf found him attractive.
She didn’t want him for a mate, no she wanted roll on her back and offer him her belly, she wanted to rub up agents him, she wanted his sent on her. As this realization hit her, the human part of Karli’s brain, began to panic.
She had never felt this way before; she had never had this kind of reaction to a man before.
Just then the wind shifted slightly blowing his sent towards her.
A werewolf! Karli jumped to her feet, knocking her chair to the resounding “clang”.
That man was a werewolf! She had never met another of her kind. In that instant she was hit by conflicting instincts, the wolf wanted get to know this man, but the human wanted to flee, just as Anthony had always told her she must.
By werewolf law it was forbidden for Bittens such as Karli to exist. She would be killed on site if she was ever found…
The duo stopped short and stared at Karli. The hard look in the mans eyes threw her into a full on panic attack, and the first pains of the change hit Karli in sharp waves. As a young man, baring Karli’s order in hand, walked onto the patio, Karli raced for the mettle fencing surrounding the patio and vaulted over it. Leaving her purse, breakfast, and the strange wolf man behind her.

Karli rounded a corner and ran into the first alleyway she found. She fought agents the change as best she could, but knew it was futile, the best she could should hope for was to hold the change at bay until she found a safe place to hide.
She could felt her shirt being to tighten around her shoulders and across her back, straining that the seems. Her jeans began to slip down past her hips. As her feet began to slip from her boots Karli dove behind dumpster and let the change take her.

Jonathan quietly paces out side the alleyway. He could hear the sound of ripping fabric, the harsh breathing of someone in pain.
She hadn’t even looked old enough to drive let alone to have reached the age of maturity and started changing yet.
Jonathan cursed him self, he had smelled another werewolf and had reacted on instinct, wanting to worn the other away from him and his mate. He hadn’t expected the other werewolf to be a child and a girl no less.
As the sound of her pained gasps faded, Jonathan looked down the ally watching for any signs of movement.
A flash of fur, a soft growl. It wasn’t a challenge, but a warning. Telling him to back off.
Turning in the direction of the growl, he crouched down so that he would be on eye level with her.
Cautiously she stepped into the light. At first he thought she was black, but as the sun hit her, he noted she was a brown with undertones of black, rather then solid black. And her eyes which appeared gray where flecked with various other colors.
Cautiously, she approached him careful to watchful of his reaction to her. She began to sniff his pant leg, but stopped after a moment. The fear that had driven her seemed to have dissipated with her change. He found this to be rather odd…
When he didn’t react to her, she continued to sniff him. She sniffed his legs, arms, face, chest, back, anywhere she could reach, as she drifted towards he groin. Jonathan shifted so she couldn’t put her muzzle where he lest wanted it.
At his sudden movement she backed off, growling deep in her throat. When she was sure he wouldn’t move aging she began to sniff his fingers, after a moment she licked them, keeping an eye on him, watching his reaction.
When he didn’t protest this, she began softly mouthing his fingers, and then his hand. The sound of a backfiring car startled her. She bit down hard drawing blood.
Quickly she backpedaled into the shadows, her tail curled under her, her ears plastered back agents her scull, her head down whining softly.
As she shrank away from him, Jonathan sighed, exasperated with the situation, it was like trying to win over a sacred puppy that wanted to play but wasn’t sure that she could.
The “clack, clack” of someone trying to walk fast in heels. The little she wolf growled softly.
Jonathan turned to see Anna, with bags of food in hand. He smiled up at her, but didn’t move from his crouched position, not wanting to frighten the wolf child anymore then he already had.
“Sorry, I took so long. It took a bit of extra incentive to make our order a rush,” she grinned evilly “and to get that waiter to fork over the girl’s food as well.” Anna “Humphed” quite indignity “Oh I also I grabbed her purse.” Anna added, twisting her hip to the side showing him a blue, white, black, and hot pink handbag dangling down along her right side.
Jonathan noted that the purse had some kind of picture of what looked like a skeletal animal design. He turned his attention back to the wolf child, but she was gone.
He searched the shadows but couldn’t see her. Motioning for Anna to stay where she was, Jonathan fallowed the young she wolf’s sent, fallowing it until he reached the alley’s dead end. He found her crouched down in between two over flowing dumpsters.
“It’s alright sweet hart, I won’t hurt you, don’t worry.” He murmured softly.
He wasn’t certain that she under stood his words, they could understand human speech as wolves, but only when they concentrated. Although the girl had been scared of him, the wolf was curious.
Werewolves where curious by nature.
He crouched down out side her hiding place and waited. After a while, she crept out, scooted towards him. She lapped experimentally at his face, ears laid back whining, but he growed softly warning her off. Immediately she flopped down, rolling over exposing her soft under belly to him.
Surprised by her behavior, Jonathan softly ran his fingers in her soft fur. He had never seen this sort of behavior in any werewolf he had ever met, male of female. After a few minuets she heaved a sigh of contentment, and closed her eyes.
With the she wolf now calm, Jonathan scoped her into his arms and walked out of the alley.

With the wolf child impatiently pacing in the back seat Jonathan and Anna drove back to their hotel, The Monaco.
As Jonathan pulled into the parking lot, he asked Anna to grab the food while he got the girl.
Once in their room he set the wolf child down next to sitting room sofa.
Although she was still in wolf form she seemed content just to stay pout and rest, so he left her in the sitting room and escorted his mate to the bedroom, so they could discuss the girl in privet.
Once alone and certain that the pair would not return soon Karli began to make the change back into human form. She was calm now, despite the fact that all rational thought dictated that she should be other wise. After all she was in a strange place with two strange people she didn’t know.
By all rights her instincts should be screaming at her to run, to fight, to do something… Other then just roll over at their feet. Wrong...not their feet…his…his feet.
There was something about him that her wolf just loved, no adored really. Something about him pulled at her.
With the completion of her change, Karli collapsed to the floor breathing heavily. Her cloths where gone but she really didn’t care. She had been a wolf most of her life, nudity was a necessity of that life.
Suddenly the door to the connecting bedroom opened, Karli pulled herself into a protective crouch and growled impulsively.
The man entered the sitting room, clutching a bathrobe in one hand. He looked down at her, lacking gazes.
She knew this game, every wolf did, he was asserting his dominance. She did not know this man, but going by the way her wolf reacted to him, she knew he out ranked her how ever despite that fact, she still held his gaze far longer than she knew she should have.
After a few moments she averted her gaze, he was more dominant she knew that, but she didn’t have to like it.
“Here, put this on.” He held out the bathrobe to her. Rising to her feet Karli ignored his offer.
“Let me go.” She demanded her voice full of malice.
A smile played at the corner of his mouth, and his eyes softened. He tossed the robe at her, but she ignored it, letting the robe fall to the floor in a pool of thick cloth at her feet.
“Let me go.” She repeated.
Jonathan let out a sigh as he reached down to pick up the fallen robe.
“Put this on.” He said firmly, reaching for her.
She stiffened, and stumbled back a few steps before falling hard on her rump. Jonathan stopped, inadvertently taking a step back, staring down at the girl, whose eyes now swam in tears. She started shaking, and the smell of her fear made his hackles rise.
Anna rushed towards the girl, ignoring Jonathon’s silent command to back off, but then his Anna wasn’t afraid of much, let alone a freighted werewolf, he supposed that had something to do with growing up with the dead.
Anna was a necromancer and often faced situations that most women never would. Her powers and the life she lead had made her strong. That was one of the reasons he loved her.
Anna wrapped a blanket around the shaking girl’s shoulders.
A cell phone with an unfamiliar ring tone started to going off.
“Anthony” the girl whispered collapsing into Anna.
Jonathon reached for the girl’s purse, digging through a large wallet, two navels, a note book and an assorted collection of pens and mechanical pencils to fine her phone berried at the bottom.
“Karli!? Karli, are you there? What’s wrong?”
“Anthony” the girl whispered again, before she began sobbing.
Jonathon simply stated the name of the hotel and their room number before hanging up the phone.
